Tampa Bay Water continues to work closely with Hillsborough County to ensure adequate supplies of drinking water are delivered to fast-growing south Hillsborough County. Since June, Tampa Bay Water staff has identified potential properties for a new booster pump station site to deliver additional water through existing pipelines. Additionally, Hillsborough County has increased its receipt of flows at its Central water treatment facility.
Tampa Bay Water has also launched a survey to obtain Hillsborough County resident input to help in evaluating potential pipeline routes. A new pipeline from Tampa Bay Water’s system to a new delivery point at Hillsborough County’s system is needed in the next six to eight years to ensure water delivery meets growing demands.
