CLEARWATER, Fla. — Tampa Bay Water’s board of directors today proclaimed April as Water Conservation Month. The agency, along with its members, water management districts and local businesses join in this effort each year. This annual proclamation emphasizes the need to conserve water during Florida’s typical spring dry season.
The highest potential for water savings is in the spring as Florida’s temperatures increase in April, May and early June while the state’s rainfall is low. This leads many residents and businesses to use more water on their landscapes.
