Investments in Infrastructure Improve System Reliability, Water Quality
Construction, | | Return

Tampa Bay Water continues to invest in infrastructure to ensure that more than 2.6 million people in the Tampa Bay region have high-quality drinking water at the turn of the tap. The agency recently completed three projects at a cost of $18.2 million, a little more than $400,000 under budget.

Projects at the South Pasco Water Treatment Plant and the Lake Bridge Water Treatment Plant improved or maintained water quality, while the newly completed Brandon Booster Station now delivers an additional 5-7 million gallons of water per day to fast-growing southern Hillsborough County.

Currently, the agency has five projects in various stages of construction with a total budgeted construction cost of $44.5 million. Four of these improve system reliability and resiliency while one is focused on maintaining water quality.
