Contract Awarded for Improvements at the Lake Bridge Water Treatment Plant

At its June meeting, Tampa Bay Water’s board of directors awarded a $1.15 million contract to KAT Construction and Materials Inc. for the Lake Bridge Chemical Piping Replacement Project. This project aims to replace all the chemical piping, pumps and tanks inside the Lake Bridge Water Treatment Plant in addition to adding new chemical injection points to the existing piping. These improvements will enhance the quality of the water from the plant.

Located in Pasco County, the Lake Bridge Water Treatment Plant treats water from the Cypress Bridge Wellfield and delivers water to the regional system and Pasco County. The plant also adjusts water quality from the regional pipeline before it’s delivered to Pasco County’s water system.

Pasco County will co-fund $234,500 toward the project.
