Tampa Bay Water Receives Radiance Award
The Public Relations Society of America’s Sunshine District recently awarded Tampa Bay Water and its communications consultants with a Radiance Award for Public Affairs for the “Building A Water-Wise Community” campaign. The Radiance Awards recognize outstanding strategic public relations programs by Florida practitioners and organizations. The awards highlight PR campaigns and tactics that demonstrate excellence in research, planning, implementation and evaluation, as well as individuals who have shown great commitment to the profession.
Tampa Bay Water, Dialogue Public Relations and Swim Digital collaborated on “Building A Water-Wise Community.” The program, implemented as part of Tampa Bay Water’s Long-term Master Water Plan update, was designed to build or maintain consumer confidence in the Tampa Bay region’s drinking water quality and to encourage engagement with the planning process that identifies new water supply projects to meet the region’s future needs.
The campaign was built using qualitative and quantitative research, and included the “Know Your H2O” water quality digital campaign, which ran October 2017 to March 2018, and the “Have a Voice in Your Water Choice” community outreach campaign, which collect public input on future water supply projects and ran February 2018 to April 2018.
