The Cypress Creek Pump Station in Pasco County pumps treated water from the Cypress Creek and Crossbar wellfields and combines it with regional water from the High Service Pump Station to deliver a combined average of 90.4 million gallons of water per day (mgd) to the regional system.
This project replaces outdated generator controllers for two medium voltage generators that provide standby power to the distribution system, which feeds the pumps, control room and other critical operational facilities at the Cypress Creek Pump Station.
This project will increase operational efficiency and reliability by ensuring standby power is readily available during outages.
The budget for design and construction is $762,000.
Construction is scheduled to begin in September 2026 and be completed by spring 2027.
This project has no public impact as all work is contained within Tampa Bay Water property.
