Tampa Bay Water recently completed a regional in-depth physical and cyber resiliency assessment. The Regional Resiliency Assessment Program (RRAP) is conducted by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), a division of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). In 2015, CISA tapped Tampa Bay Water to participate as the water sector project in the RRAP.
Funded as one of DHS’ projects, the RRAP identified stakeholders and infrastructure within the Tampa Bay regional water system and conducted interviews and assessments on system operations and cyber security practices. Key findings and suggestions for improvement cannot be made public for security reasons. Tampa Bay Water and its member governments are scheduling meetings to discuss results and improvements going forward.
