Paul Stanek joined Tampa Bay Water Aug. 8 as the utility’s chief operating officer and newest member of its executive team. Stanek has more than 32 years’ experience in public utilities and public health. Stanek started work for the City of Dunedin in 2007 as the water division director, additionally assumed the responsibilities of the wastewater division as the assistant utilities director and was most recently the City’s public works director.
Prior to his work with the City, Stanek worked for 17 years for the Florida Department of Health (DOH) in a variety of water-related positions, including private and limited use DOH wells, ambient water quality monitoring, and the permitting and regulation of the Department of Environmental Protection’s drinking water program in Pinellas County.
