At its May meeting, Tampa Bay Water’s board of directors approved an exhibit sponsorship of $250,000 over five years for the Great Explorations Children's Museum in St. Petersburg. The "Water Wonders" exhibit aims to educate and engage young visitors and families in the fascinating world of water production and hydroponics and will include both interactive and infographic components.
Water Wonders will educate children and families on the journey of water to showcase the process of water production from source to tap and how to protect our drinking water sources. The infographic displays will feature water conservation messaging at points of use throughout the museum, including new water bottle filling stations.
“We think a unique water supply needs a unique learning experience and this partnership will inspire children to become stewards of water conservation and sustainability,” said Brandon Moore, Tampa Bay Water’s public communications manager.
Stay tuned as the exhibit is scheduled to open later this year.
