The September board meeting was the last for Ken Herd, Tampa Bay Water’s chief science and technical officer, who retired on Sept. 30, 2021. During the board meeting, Chairman Dave Eggers presented Herd with a certificate of appreciation for his years of public service — 29 with Tampa Bay Water and six with the Southwest Florida Water Management District.
