2025 Year in Review

A Letter from the Chairman and General Manager

Delivering nearly 200 million gallons of drinking water every day to more than 2.6 million people is no small feat—and it’s a responsibility we take seriously. At Tampa Bay Water, we’re proud to serve our region with reliable, high-quality water while planning for the future and protecting the environment.

In 2025, we continued to meet our mission with resilience and innovation. From expanding infrastructure to advancing conservation, here are just a few highlights from the past year:

  • Investing in smart infrastructure including seven completed projects, which came in $5.3 million under budget, and 36 active capital projects.
  • Preparing for future growth with feasibility studies for new water supply options and an updated demand forecast to guide smart planning.
  • Delivering quality water that met or was better than all health-based drinking water standards, backed by more than 62,000 lab tests.
  • Maintaining affordability with a wholesale rate of just $2.62 per thousand gallons, supported by efficient operations and strategic financing.
  • Expanding environmental stewardship, including $50,000 in mini-grants and continued support for conservation and education programs.
  • Celebrating conservation milestones with more than 1 million gallons of water per day saved through our Tampa Bay Water Wise rebate program.

We also made progress on three major infrastructure projects: the $181 million expansion of our Regional Surface Water Treatment Plant, the South Hillsborough Pipeline and the South Hillsborough Wellfield—critical investments to serve our growing communities.

Watch our 2025 Year in Review video to see how these efforts came together to support our region’s water needs—today and for generations to come. Thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,
