Steering Committee Meeting for the Integrated Hydrologic Model (IHM) and the Integrated Northern Tampa Bay (INTB) Model

Tampa Bay Water, a Regional Water Supply Authority announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

Purpose: Steering Committee Meeting for the Integrated Hydrologic Model (IHM) and the Integrated Northern Tampa Bay (INTB) Model

General Subject Matter to be Considered: The IHM-INTB Steering Committee will conduct a public meeting to finalize their recommendations for the IHM-INTB Five Year Roadmap. The roadmap includes recommended activities over a five-year time span that support the IHM, the INTB model, and user support for both models.

The IHM and INTB models are used to help water managers make decisions about regional water supply by studying the relationship between surface water and groundwater, and how an action in one part of the region’s natural stream or aquifer system affects other parts of the system.

The models are a collaborative effort between Tampa Bay Water and the Southwest Florida Water Management District. The Steering Committee provides recommendations regarding maintenance and improvements for the IHM and the INTB model to management and executive staff and the Board of Directors of the Agencies.
