CLEARWATER, Fla. (April 13, 2018) — Tampa Bay Water invites Tampa Bay area residents to join its telephone town hall meeting on April 18 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. to discuss its Long-term Master Water Plan, the framework for meeting the region’s future drinking water needs. Sign up to participate at futurewater.org.

The telephone town hall meeting will include a discussion on current and future water sources, while allowing the public to ask questions live and participate in polls during the call.

“Our telephone town hall meetings are an opportunity to have an open dialogue about future drinking water supplies in the Tampa Bay area,” said Michelle Stom, chief communications officer for Tampa Bay Water. “We hope to engage residents to talk about the region’s future water supply and to get their input through our online survey.”

To sign up for the meeting, residents can follow these simple steps:

  • Go to futurewater.org
  • Click on the link to join the conversation and sign up for the meeting
  • Answer the town hall meeting phone call at the number provided at 6:30 p.m. on April 18

After the meeting, residents can share their opinions by taking a survey at futurewater.org.

The agency’s board of directors will decide later this year which projects to move forward for further study. This is the third and final telephone town hall meeting scheduled before that decision.
