Tampa Bay Water Wise Secures Funding from District for 2021
Water Wise, | | Return

Tampa Bay Water Wise is a program to help residents and businesses save money by saving water. The goal is to save up to 11 million gallons of water per day by 2030.

The program offers 11 rebates for residential and non-residential customers who purchased or implemented new water savings devices or measures on or after March 1, 2020. It is a joint partnership among Tampa Bay Water, its member governments and the Southwest Florida Water Management District (District).

The District again is co-funding the Tampa Bay Water Wise program in the amount of $1,432,238. This amount matched Tampa Bay Water’s contribution, totaling $2,864,476 that will fund the program in 2021.

Since its launch in March through Nov. 18, 2020, the program has received 262 applications. A total of 176 rebates have been paid for high-efficiency toilets: 135 for single-family homes and 11 for multi-family homes, resulting in an estimated 5,046 gallons of water per day saved. We also received and approved a rebate for a shallow irrigation well.
