Tampa Bay Water staff and consultants have been investigating the feasibility of three potential new water supply projects since January 2019. Work has progressed on the Surface Water Treatment Plant Expansion, Tampa Bay Seawater Desalination Plant Expansion and South Hillsborough Wellfield projects. New water supplies are needed in the 2028 timeframe to meet the region’s growing water needs.

Construction on the Brandon Booster Station will soon begin as early procurement of equipment and cooperative funding have both recently been approved.
