Roberta (Robbie) Kety manages Tampa Bay Water’s Human Resources Department. As the Human Resources Director, she supervises and provides consultation to management on strategic staffing plans, compensation, benefits, training and development, budget, and employee relations. She is responsible for planning, designing, developing and evaluating human resource-related initiatives that support organizational strategic goals. In addition, she leads the performance management and talent assessment. She is responsible for negotiating and administering employee insurances and benefits.
Prior to joining Tampa Bay Water, she gained extensive Human Resources experience from her work in a variety of settings and industries: a short-term acute care psychiatric hospital, a community hospital, a Harvard University teaching hospital, an international consulting firm, a software company, and municipal government (Town of Plymouth and the City of Quincy). She has significant experience in employee relations and labor relations including: labor contract negotiations, employee relations, including grievance hearings, disciplinary matters and discrimination and/or harassment investigations.
Ms. Kety has also worked as an Assistant District Attorney in Massachusetts where she prosecuted domestic violence, sexual assault, child and elder abuse cases. She developed a comprehensive understanding of the criminal justice system and she has extensive experience with jury trials, bench trials, arraignments and clerk magistrate hearings.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Boston University, a Master of Science in Management degree from Lesley University and a Juris Doctorate from New England School of Law. She also is an Executive Certified Professional from the International Public Management Association-Human Resources.
Ms. Kety has been employed by Tampa Bay Water since 2014.
