Tampa Bay Water is currently conducting an aquifer performance test on the four-acre parcel located between the Ridge Crest and Kim Acres neighborhoods (see map).

To date, our efforts involved drilling monitor wells and testing one of those wells to determine the aquifer characteristics in the area and analyze water quality.  Those tests were favorable, so a more detailed aquifer performance is being conducted and additional aquifer data will be collected.

During the pumping test, an on-site generator and a well pump run continuously for a two-week period.  Water pumped during the test is piped to Long Pond, so there will be no accumulation of water in the neighborhoods. A quiet generator designed for work in neighborhoods is being used. We anticipate that only those living directly adjacent to the site may be able to hear the generator during the pumping test.

If nearby residents notice or experience any water-level related problems during this time, we would appreciate being informed at your earliest convenience so that we can determine if it may be related to our activities.
