Public Input
Tampa Bay Water provides multiple opportunities for the public to provide comment on its projects. In April 2001, an initial public meeting introduced the project and informed the public about early feasibility studies. Three additional public hearings before the Tampa Bay Water board were held in Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas.
Residents in the areas near the alternative pipeline routes were asked for input on the routes in the summer of 2002. Additional open house meetings are planned for 2003, where additional public input on the project will be taken. The meeting will be publicly noticed.
