The Highview Booster Station increases water pressure to Hillsborough County's north Brandon service area.

Hillsborough County built a booster station in 2005 to connect the County's water distribution system to the Tampa Bay Water regional system. Hillsborough County 's South-Central service area is supplied water from two local wellfields. The water is treated and distributed at Hillsborough County 's Lithia Water Treatment Plant. The wellfields are presently running very near permitted capacity.

The Highview Booster Station facility enables the County to tap additional regional water supplies for the area and maintain adequate water pressure as demand increases.

Once the County builds a new water treatment plant to serve the area, currently scheduled for 2009, the Highview site will be decommissioned.
