Construction Considerations

Tampa Bay Water recognizes that construction can be frustrating, particularly in densely populated neighborhoods.  Through careful planning and consideration of the surroundings, the agency will work to minimize inconvenience during construction projects by:

  • Notifying property owners in advance, when possible, if constuction activities might infringe upon residents (e.g. blocked driveways or sidewalks).
  • Working with city and county staff on plans to maintain traffic flow and to help residents navigate during construction.
  • Working to minimize dust during working hours.
  • Filling in all excavations and re-opening all lanes of traffic at the end of each work day.
  • Keeping citizens informed through direct mail, door hangers, web-site construction updates and communications with the homeowners association.
