well house

bud-5r collection main project

Tampa Bay Water’s Brandon Urban Dispersed Wells (BUDW) were placed into service in 2002 and provide high quality drinking water to Hillsborough County. The BUD-5R Collection Main project replaces a well that was taken out of service, and does not change the current permitted capacity of the BUDW. The project replacement well is constructed on Tampa Bay Water’s 4-acre well site located between Seffner Valrico Road and Valrico Road, just south of Wheeler Road, in the Valrico area of Hillsborough County.

The replacement well has been constructed and tested, and was permitted in 2009. The project will provide pumping equipment for the well, including construction of a well house similar to the other Tampa Bay Water well houses. In addition, approximately 6,000 feet of pipeline will be installed to interconnect the new well to Tampa Bay Water’s existing pipeline, located near the intersection of Wheeler Road and Seffner Valrico Road.
